I was born and raised in the Midwest. I moved to the beach in '97 and love it! I have been doing massage therapy for over 20 years! WOW how time flies. It is truly a gift from God. I never would have thought that this is the route I was to take in life, and I love it. I am state licensed under the Nursing Board and board certified by the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers). I have over 300 hours of continuing education credits. I worked in spas, clinic’s and sports rehabilitation facilities before I had started teaching massage therapy at a local college for 11 years. I taught both the science classes (A & P, kinesiology, pathology, business & ethics, NCE review) & hands-on classes sports, deep tissue, spa and orthopedic which include modalities like (reflexology, sugar & salt scrubs, seaweed, mud & herbal linen wraps, hot stones, aromatherapy, manual lymph drainage, trigger point & positional release, myofascial release techniques, neuromuscular ) within the massage program. I also ran the college massage clinic open to the public. With all we now know about the human body there is no reason why anyone should have to live with constant chronic pain. There are over 200 different types of therapeutic massage modalities and I think that one or any combination of a few should be able to alleviate some of the body’s pain for a better quality of life and peace.
